The introduction has been published by Joseph Haydn as 4th fugue in the collection VI Fugen in Quartetten WerW M.24. Movements 2–12 and 13–20 are entitled Actus primus (only implied) and Actus secundus, respectively. While the title page lists a performance date of 1747, Thonner added the date of April 1738 at the end of the manuscript, indicating that Werner already composed (and likely also performed) the work nine years earlier.
